Vietnam is a wet country with agriculture country and marintime [Văn minh lúa nước] rivers and ocean with land (paddy rice) and monsoon weather to cultivate. With that concept and purpose, it's shape our country: Long and Narrow.

Vua Bảo Đại tên đầy đủ là Nguyễn Phước Vĩnh Thụy, ông sinh ngày 22/10/1913 tại Huế, ông là con trai duy nhất của vua Khải Định và bà Đoan Huy Hoàng Thái Hậu - Từ Cung. Năm 1922, ông được vua cha xác lập làm Đông cung Hoàng Thái Tử sau đó được đưa sang Pháp để du học. Tại Pháp ông theo học trường Lycée Condorcet sau đó là trường Khoa học Chính trị Sciences Po tại Paris. Năm 1925, vua Khải Định mất thì ông trở về nước để thọ tang cha. Năm 1926 ông lên ngôi vua và lấy niên hiệu là Bảo Đại, sau đó ông quay lại Pháp để tiếp tục việc học.
